My interest in the esoteric began when I was a child. I listened intently as the stories of the Greek gods and heroes were read to me from Legends of Olympus by the Romanian author Alexandru Mitru.

Several years later, I was still fascinated by questions of what bound the universe together. What connections could be made between the present world in which my feet were planted, and the ancient past which held a part of my heart? These questions, the tension between the esoteric and the observed, led me to study physics at the University of Bucharest.

After I completed my degree, I began a career in the energy industry, where I now work as a senior project manager. As well as being a scientist, I am a manager of people and a mentor. As I always suspected, these two fields inform each other, they don’t cancel each other out. An understanding of the forces that govern the universe, and an empathy for what makes people, and peoples, tick, is not that far removed.

In recent years, my life-long interest in mythology and the esoteric has led me to explore the fields of psychology, anthropology, and astrology, reading widely and taking every opportunity to travel. I have studied tarot, astrology, and eye reading, most recently completing a masterclass in astrology and becoming a recognized practitioner of traditional Chinese astrology.

I am a Wienerin with Romanian roots. I am the daughter of my parents, the mother of my children, the sister of my sister, and I am owned by my two cats. I hope that this book, in which I untangle the red thread of curiosity which has accompanied me throughout my life, is useful to you on your own journey.
